Top MacBook Pro TouchBar Hacks
– Rocket
This is one of the best apps for the Touch Bar out there even though this is still in beta. You can literally put your dock inside your touchbar and hide the dock from the screen and save some real estate on the home screen.
This app stays in the top menu and you can access the menu by pressing ‘ cmd + ` ‘ key on your keyboard.
It will show the currently open apps and if you press the dock button it will open the apps you have in your dock.
A similar app is the Touch Switcher but after using it for 2 days I started having some issues and my Touch Bar would start freezing up. I have had no issues with Rocket so far.
– No need to lift your finger
A few days ago I realized that I had been using the touch bar all wrong.
In order to change the volume or the brightness you don’t need to lift your finger up. Just slide on the icon and that’s it.
– Great Add On for Apple Apps
Apple has greatly incorporated Touch Bar into its stock apps. Some of my favorite TouchBar supported apps are

- Safari
- QuickTime Screen Recording
- Adobe Photoshop
Some of the other apps that are just for fun
– TouchBar Piano
This is a fun one. Imagine if you could have a piano in your TouchBar.
– TouchBar Space Fight
It’s funny how many retro games are coming back and who would have thought you’ll be playing them in your touch bar.
– Pac-Man for the MacBook Pro Touch Bar
Your favorite game now in your touch bar. It’s nor exactly what you were hoping but it’s still fun.
– Knight TouchBar
This app turns your TouchBar into the much beloved Knight Rider light bar 🙂
– Touch Fart
I think you know what this does 🙂
– TouchBar Nyan Cat
Stupid Nyan Cat animation on your +$3k MacBook Pro’s Touchbar. Enjoy 🙂
– Haptic Touch Bar
This app gives your Touch Bar the much needed vibrational feedback.
